The Monte Argentario peninsula is well known for two important tourist resorts: Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole. The peninsula is surrounded by the sea and it is connected to the coast by the Giannella and Feniglia ayres, that are two long beaches with easy access. In the promontory it is possible to go trekking and mountain biking among the paths in the Mediterranean scrub. Its beaches have crystal clear water that are famous for its fish fauna. It is possible to do snorkeling activities in the various coves, some of which can be reached more easily by renting a dinghy or a boat. The Monte Argentario is also famous for the Argentario Golf Club with an 18-hole course surrounded by greenery.
